The Fishtaylz Crew

The hands and hearts that built our haven

Fishtaylz was carved out of rock, pine, and Sturgeon Lake water by the hands of family and close friends. From solar panels to the outhouse...from the "ski jump" to the outdoor shower...from the zip line to Fort Sturgeon...every corner reflects three generations who believe life is sweetest off the grid.

Around The Camp

Roles, rituals, and campkeepers

Every visit takes teamwork—hauling food and gear, splitting logs, stoking the woodstove, launching and storing boats, clearing property and imagining the next project.

Shore Patrol & Pups

This project has been a tag-team event for sure, completed by both family and friends. From the first nail driven by Paul Brinkman and his Minitaki Carpentry crew, to whatever project was completed as we closed up for the most recent year, our goal was to make the camp the most enjoyable and well-maintained property of its kind on the lake.

The camp dogs guarding the shoreline from curious chipmunks, and grandchildren learning how to bait a hook, skip flat stones, and toast the perfect golden marshmallow.

I have the most patient and supportive wife in history! She's gone alopng with almost everything I wanted to do at camp and even congtributed greatly to its completion

Camp Creed

Out here on Sturgeon Lake, time doesn't tick by minutes—it's measured in morning coffee on the dock, woodsmoke in wool sweaters, and laughter echoing across calm water.
